This very unusual wooden carving from Papua New Guinea depicts a woman
masturbating. The sculpture rests with her legs down with head raised slightly. As shown
in the top and left image, the act of self-pleasuring is not seen until turning the
sculpture over. The eyes are inlaid with Cowry shell, one hand is holding a foot, and the
belly is decorative. Sculpture measures approximately 16" in length.
